Privacy Policy

AffirmMyName ("we," "us") makes a personalized affirmation app and this website. Here is exactly what we do with your information, in plain language. The short version: almost everything stays on your phone, we have no accounts and no passwords, and we do not sell or share your data.

What we collect, kept on your phone only

The following information is stored on your device and never leaves it unless you turn on cloud backup (described below):

• Your first name and how to say it
• Your photo, if you choose to add one
• Your journal entries
• Your daily mood taps
• Affirmations you write yourself
• Your reminders, streak, chosen voice, and background
• Names of people you save birthdays for

What leaves your phone

• Speech generation. When your affirmation plays, the text of that affirmation, including your name, is sent to our server and then to Google Cloud Text-to-Speech to be turned into audio. Google processes it and does not keep it.
• Name gifts. If you send someone a name gift, that person's name and the occasion message are sent to our server so the gift link works.
• Subscriptions. If you choose a paid plan, Google Play handles the purchase and billing directly. We never see or store your card details; we only receive from Google which plan you hold, so the app can unlock the right features.
• Cloud backup (off by default). If you turn on cloud backup in Settings, a copy of everything listed above is sent to our server so a new phone can restore it. If you leave cloud backup off, none of that ever leaves your phone.

What we do not do

• No accounts, no sign-in, no passwords, no email addresses collected
• No advertising, no ad networks, no selling data
• No analytics or tracking SDKs
• Nothing is shared with anyone for their own purposes

Deleting your data

Everything stored on your phone is deleted when you uninstall the app. If you turned on cloud backup, email support@affirmmyname.com from any address and we will delete the server copy. You do not need to provide any account information, because there is none.

Children

This app is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date above and notify you in the app for significant changes.
